Got my new pans and will be tackling the same job soon, thanks for the detailed pics they are a great help showing pan connection points and spot welds, haha gonna need a few new batteries for my drioll with all thoe spot weld to remove.

Very great. I'm from Iowa, and will start striping my 92 rs for rust repairs... Being up north sucks.. Let's just hope when I pull that carpet up I won't be horrified. I will be looking back at this thread a lot when I start. Thanks for all the great pics and explinations.

So for the lca mounts do they just kinda mold / get welded into the floors pan? Im kinda worried about that area and how far up the rust goes under that rubber mat thing in the front

The floorpan is a separate piece from the LCA boxes, which are just spot welded in a few places to the thicker gauge steel the LCA mounts are in.
Don't worry, try to salvage as much as you can from what you have, because yours doesn't look like it's unusable.
