I'm going to have to do some floor pan repairs due to an over zealous unskilled welder installation of sub frame connectors by the prior owner of my car. I have clean floors in a parts car that will be donating to the project but would like it to look factory when completed.
Does anybody have the code for the factory floor pan paint? Am I correct in assuming it's the same for inside and under the car?
No, they have overspray on them that's the color of the car but they are a grey 3/4 gloss, from what it appears to me. I can post pictures later or tomorrow to show.
Unless I'm wrong that just lists the paint codes for the body of the car - I'm looking for the paint that's under that - the primer if you will or sealer coat.
It's the grey color in the picture I posted that has the black overspray on it.
I always thought the grey was factory E coat. You will more then likely need to experiment with colors to get it close as it is not a paint and no code exists. I would guess if you use a grey paint with a bit of flattening agent mixed in you should get the sheen. But you need to probably have the color custom mixed.
If it's the grey color you're talking about that's Elpo primer. Get yourself a couple of cans of Pontiac ralley II wheel paint. It's the same color. I'm talking about the paint for the inside wheel, not the outside.
