T-Top Question
The trim piece around the actual t-top glass itself....mine is cracked and missing in some sections. I have not found anywhere to find a replacement. When I got the car it was colder outside and I got this hair-brained idea to replace one side with "door edge gaurd". It worked....until the sun came up
My questions are .... has anyone replaced theirs? Where did you get it? Is it more effective to just remove it altogether? Anyone found a better solution?

Re: T-Top Question
Not sure if this is the part you are looking for, but 1A Auto has all of the weather stripping for our cars.

Re: T-Top Question
Thanks Mantaguy, but I dont need new tops....just the trim that goes all the way around the glass edges.

I really don't think that there is a replacement for that,I know you can get the inside section(handle, trim, locking mech.

Re: T-Top Question
It appears that you have the 1st design,it shows P/Ns but I doubt you will find any new parts for that app.

Re: T-Top Question
HUGE help Mantaguy!
I like how the superseded version was just to remove the channel altogether...lol
NOTE: 1st design: black channel around perimeter.
NOTE: 2nd design: No black channel around perimeter.
LOL
At least now I know what to do! Nice clean glass without that channel on a nice set of brand new rubber seals for the t-tops should work good! Thanks for your help!

Re: T-Top Question
Not Lexan. fully glass the same as every other 82-92. And not metal trim around them either. It is hardened plastic. I scraped mine off with a razor blade. If your t-top seals are not brand new or at least nice and "springy" then I do not suggest scraping the trim off or they will leak like crazy. However, since I scraped mine off and installed them on brand new weather stripping, they do not leak at all. However, I do plan to find an alternative solutiuon, because I like the protection the trim offers the edges of the glass when the tops are taken out. I will keep you guys posted on the solution I come up with. It will look as good as factory, or it wont get done though.....I love my car, no shortcuts lol
