Need steering wheel suggestions
I like billet. Here is a pic of my car with a Billet Specialties Eagle steering wheel. I am planning on using a Colorado Customs Fire wheel in my '88 IROC. There is also Recaro, as well as other smaller brands. May I suggest Street Rodder magazine for ideas both subtile and wild?
Those are both very nice (but too expensive for me) ways to go. I am just using the 3-spoke, leather-wrapped wheel that was stock on firebirds or formulas or trans ams. I don't know which it was originally on, but I'm putting it on my 91 formula.
If I had the money, though, I'd go with Billet Specialties--VERY NICE!!

I was gonna suggest the momo champion too. THat's what I'm getting for the IROC. I felt a suede wheel once and instantly fell in love.

then go to the pics section then look at the interior and misc pics of my car. I have a good pic of a Grant GT there in my car. It fits in well, cheap in summit, and adds some good flare.

I have a Momo Competition in my IROC. Champion is nice, it’s almost identical to Competition except it’s got suede on top and the spokes are silver. Race is the other Momo wheel I considered. I decided on Competition because it was the only one I could find at the time with black spokes.
The stock wheel isn’t bad, but like most, it was worn out and had a cheap plastic cover on it. I bought a new leather cover and took my time lacing it on, and it turned out OK, but I have never regretted getting the Momo.
They can be found on eBay new for $150 or so, add about another $50 if you don’t have an adapter. It is well worth the $200, adds a lot to the enjoyment of driving the car, and looks good too.
