Lower door hinge Q? (Not pin)

This is very loose on the lower hinge "detent arm" ...

Can it be welded ? / where ? ... It was "expanded" on the bottom originally, but I think I can weld at the top and have it still rotate in the center portion ?

Any help appreciated !

Dorman sells a pin and bushing kit for less than $10. It's a bitch to install but can't be any worse than what you are talking about. Those upper pins on the lower hinge have to be cut or ground out. PITA but if you are going in there might as well replace 'em all.

I don't think this is suppose to be one of the replaceable parts in the Dorman kit ... I have two right here ... It outboard of the lower hinge pin on the roller arm ?!

My bad. I guess I saw "door hinge" and started having nightmarish flashbacks of doing my pins and bushings...

Call and talk to Lon at "Top Down Solutions" about your problem.
Here are some of the kits and parts they sell and I installed the non-greasable upper and lower hinge kit 9 years ago and it is still going strong.
His pieces are made out of quality materials and worth ever dime.
