Head light buckets

Hello everyone, I've been up in the air about painting my headlight buckets for a long time. I like the look of the color of the car but I also like the look of the black buckets also. So I decided to paint them with the flat black spray Plasti dip, that way if I have the option of going back to color of car I can just peel it off. Came out nice.

Re: Head light buckets

Does plasti dip have a satin clear? Instead of flat, the correct look would be satin. If your goal was for flat, then it came out looking good!!

It does look good. Since the plasti dip is thicker than paint has it left a lip or ridge where the paint starts in the bucket? I thinking of doing this to the camaro I'm doing to avoid buying a whole quart of black.

Thanks! I don't know if it comes in satin, wasn't looking for it. I was going for the flat look.

Thanks, yes it does leave a lip, but it's not as bad as you think it would be. I used three coats on it and went as close as I could to the inside edge where it would be less noticeable.
