i'm looking to buy hood insulation for my car and see there's a few different ones available online. my car is a 1984 Trans Am with the air induction and power bulge hood (not the crossfire engine). does anyone have a picture they can share showing what the hood insulation looks like? is there a cut out where the air induction piece mounts to the hood?
any help would be much appreciated. thanks.

 

I have a NOS one in the box.
There is a small section gone from where the hood bezel is and a small spot where one side of the air induction part mounts to the bracing.
So there is no huge hole. The hood insulation is put on and then the air induction part goes over the top of it.

When I look on 1A Auto, two choices come up. It seems like neither looks exactly like liquidblue's. The $50 one seems closest.

I don't think I have seen a "correct" molded version yet.

 

Can you name the part number you have for it?
Is it for carb air induction? I have found a NOS too. The part number to my illustrator guide is the same for 84 and 87 trans am.
