The rest of us would like to stay alive when we're on the roads thank you very much. The laws aren't structured so that everybody can "look cool" (if "look cool" is defined as "looks like I can't see what I'm doing"), they're designed to keep people alive and unhurt.
Please don't make your car any more of an unguided missile than it already is, because you can't see out of it (which is also illegal in most places for obvious reasons).

there isnt a law against the people with the black tarp things in the hatch of their bird or camaro, and they cant see out the back of the hatch. so if you cant see out the back window, the mirror cant see out the back window either... its no diffrent than people with the black tarp that hangs on the inside of the hatch

The rear view mirror in the cube van I drive for work is totally useless. I can't see out of the back of the thing and it's huge compared to an F-Body

All I'm saying is there's tons of (usually bigger) vehicles on the road with no rearview. Just use your mirrors and a little more caution and you should be fine
hate to break it to you boys, but it is illegal to have no rear view mirror. ONLY if you have one side mirror. i do believe the law is that you need to have TWO mirrors, which they are, does not matter. i only have the two mirrors and have never been hasseled. one would only think it would be hard to see out of the semi's rear window with an 18wheel tralier behind you...
to simplify, you need two mirrors

My rearview mirror hasnt been on since i finished my Z and i drive it to work every day and cops dont do anything about it. I can see fine with the two side mirrors. Just check your local laws. i know it is illegal here but cops here dont enforce anything its great sometimes.

i know in cali u have to have 2. the driver side and EITHER rear view or pass side. if u look ull find some cars with NO pass side mirrors. since all f-bodies have both driver and pass side mirrors u can remove the rear view mirror on the winshield. i would check locally to make sure its like that there.

In my state, Maryland, The law states that you only need one mirror, either the rear view or the driver side. If the law allows it, it is up to you to decide what you want and wether or not you can drive safely with out the rear view mirror. I think if you still have both driver and passenger side mirrors, then you will be able to see almost everything anyway.

as far as I knew for the two mirror thing, if you're going to use 2 mirrors, dirvers side and rearview are required... the passenger side is just there for ****s n giggles...
You'll get pulled over for the tint for not being able to see out the back
then you'll get an additional ticket for the fact that you have no rearview
to top it off you'll probably **** the cop off because you didn't see him because you were dumb enough to take the rearview mirror off just because you had an illegal percentage of window tint...

is it really worth the hassle to take that off?
Personally I'd keep it on regardless of the fact that I couldn't see out the back...
and I'd probably have the tint redone as well since anything darker than 20% is 9 times outta 10 deemed illegal (along with mirrored tint, etc as well)

In different states different rules apply. Like I said before, in MD the law is that you only need one mirror, driver side or rear view. In DE, the same law applys with the mirrors and I am almost certain that the tint can be as dark as you want it to be. If these laws apply in these states, they most likly apply in some other states also.

Just becuase in your state it is illegal, doesn't make it illegal in others.

Yeah you really don't need a rearview if you have two giant mirrors...Hell I drive the dumps at work all the time and you can't use it......but the side mirrors on those things are Huge compared to the tiny ones on the f-bodies....I don't car how dark you tint is....you can see headlights out the back of it at night....I also thin is would gay as hell without one....just leave....it is really bothering you?

like i said before, in cali u need 2 to be legal. im almost positive that if u have both driver and pass side mirrors u dont need the rear view mirror. there are some vehicles that u cant see directly out behind(ie: vans with no back windows, cargo trucks, etc). u would probably be better of with a lighter tint on the rear window and keeping the rear view tho.
