modified wings, any ideas

hey guys,
heres the deal, my trans am has that foam rubber wraparound wing on it, it is all rotted out. I want to replace it with a standard firebird wing I have, I like it better. but I want the wing to be a little taller like about 2 inches just for a more unique look. how can I do this. the pedestuals (spelling?) are attatched to the wing so I can't just remove them. please don't respond with any ***** comments. thanks

You could use something like tiger-hair bondo to build up your pedestals to the height that you want them. It'd take a while to make perfect but it could be done.

I used fiberglass and resin to make the centers longer on the 4th gen wing I put on my GTA. Had to make um about 1" longer. I used cardboard for the inital mold, and then peeled it out and added more glass and resin.

There is a local guy around here with a Formula 350, I noticed the spoiler was really bad shape. But a few months later I noticed the same car without a spoiler, then later yet he took a standard spoiler, put it on 2 1 Foot pedistals (Looks sooooo Rice) I never say Rice, ok hardly ever. But it looks awful.

If I had a bird, I would put a 93-2002 Trans-Am 4th gen wing on it! THAT looks awesome!!

From the side of the car a 93+ highrise looks good. But from the back I am not crazy about the fit, because it is so rounded, & the 82-92 is really straight, it looks a little out of place... IMO

I've had so many people tell me how MUCH BETTER the fourth gen wing looks on my car. I like it much better than the heavy rubber spoiler that it came with. I'm even having trouble selling a original rubber one and hatch. I heard that they don't ship well, so I don't want to take the chance.
