replacing the front structure

Engine: 5.0 TPI
Transmission: 700-R-4
Axle/Gears: 2.73 open
replacing the front structure

so , i hit an oak tree , and smashed my 86 camaro. is it feasable or even possible to cut off the bent front structure and weld on a replacement ? body work is not my area of expertice here. who has done what ??
