Firebird Console Lid Question

I've been looking at some photos, and wondering if a firebird lid would fit in place of my Camaro lid. shaving edges isn't a problem.

The 85 up firebird piece won't... the 82-84 might but it'd take a lot of fabrication. Neither can really be shaved since they're hollow.

not talking about shaving the lid, but the console itself. I really just need to look at one up close. I'm very creative.

The console is hollow too. you'd be further ahead to swap the entire console.

umm, but if you replace the console, wouldn't you have to replace the dash?? I thought that was the same problem Camaro guys were having with 4th gen center consoles, there is some fabrication required...

i looked at pictures, the firebird lid is not as wide as the camaro lid, but I think is longer. I just like how it sloped down in from. I'm gonna make a new lid and get it re-wraped.

You might be able to make one out of wood & attach it to your existing Camaro console, jsut make provisions for the Hinges & such. I know I could do this for the firebird console if I wanted. I dont have enough experience with 'maros to say for sure it would work, but I imagine you could get something to work.

Once you have the shape right, buy some black or whatever color vynal & ocver that bad devil, you might want to have it sewn in places to fit right.

If you make it yourself that would be a possibility
