91 GTA, on the back tail light, my tail light is blackened, and the pontiac decal on it is also blackened. Is this original, or was the Pontiac decal originally red in color on the GTA ?

 

It would have been painted Red from the factory. Just about all of them have been faded out by the sun by now. Hawks has decals for around $35. I bought one much cheaper off eBay years ago.

 

ok, looks like a 2 piece decal. I saw the red one. It might look better the way it is, just the smoked look rather than the big red decal across the tail light.

 

Well if you want to get specific, it's a 7 or 14 piece decal (1-2 for each letter, can't remember if there's clear spaces inside the letters).

Most people don't install the decals once they fade, which is why I like having them on mine (different than everyone else's, yet correct). The taillights are rare enough as it is, but even when you do see them, they rarely have the red letters like they're supposed to.
