1992 firebird ground effect

1992 firebird ground effect

hey guys, i removed all my ground effects on my bird, but there is a piece of metal that sticks out alone the side that the plastic ground effects attaches too, What do i need to take this metal piece off at the bottom of the door?????

You have to remove the door panels to get to the nuts. Then you might want to fill in the mounting holes.

That piece is welded to the body, you will have to cut it off. The earlier cars it was removable and just screwed on

Thank you, i cut it off with a cut off wheel, but i dont know of a way to un weld the pieice off my car, unless a pay someone a $1,000 dollars to do it, but im not doing that, so any ideas?

Its probably spot welded on, could partially drill out the spot welds and chisel it off. Then grind the wed area smooth.

No where near a 1000$ dollar job. But ill do it for 999$

It is spot welded a lot of places the whole way on the underside. if you can see the weld spots you can use the cut off wheel in those spots and carefully grind the spot weld out
