Hood gap problem

Hood gap problem
I have a 1982 Z28 with 3,000 original miles. It has a had a re-paint.
My problem is the hood. The driver's side front corner sits quite a bit above the front of the fender (see picture below). The bumper is all the way down. You can push down on the hood and it will close the gap, but it comes right back up.
Any ideas on how to adjust this out? I did order a new hood latch, but I can't really see how this would be the problem. The gap is good along the front of the hood at the top forward line.
The other side of the hood fits much better, although it sits a little high, but not like the driver's side.
I realize that the gaps on these cars new was not great, but this is obviously out of tolerances.

Everything is adjustable. The hood latch has a ton of adjustment. Those little rubber bumpers on the top of the radiator support, they're adjustable. The rubber bumpers under the back of the hood hinges, adjustable. There's another rubber bumper in the middle of the hood at the back behind the cowl weatherstrip. The hood latch support is adjustable too.
Start making small adjustments until it fits better.

door gap is good. The hood at the back (windshield) gap is good too.
What I don't understand is what is holding the front corner of the hood up, since it is not sitting on they bumpers. I guess maybe the hinges?

Re: Hood gap problem
is that a fiberglass hood?
being as it was repainted, i wonder if its possible that it warped from heat in the paint curing process?
did it fit good before paint?

It really comes down to the hinges - my hood was in a "sprung" position because of a bad adjustment at the hinges. It is not easy to explain what I did - just alot of adjustment needed. But the hood was definitely sprung. It shuts alot easier now too. If your hood is hard to close AND it has a big gap - it is in a bind.
