RS stripe removal

My stripes have started to delaminate on my 92 RS. How can I get them off without destroying the paint underneath? Any help is appreciated.

Re: RS stripe removal

Round one is done. The 25 year old stripes are not scared of a heat gun. Will buy a 3M wheel later today and carry on.

Re: RS stripe removal

Eraser didn't work either. Did a sander to get them off.It looks as though Im going to be painting the whole hood when I do it if the other stuff won't work on it either.

Re: RS stripe removal

The eraser makes a mess and leaves heavy swirls in your paint.

Re: RS stripe removal

Yea, and my stripes are old enough it takes some serious effort to get anything off at all.
