Rolling odometer foward.

I recently bought a low-mileage gauge cluster for my 91' RS. I want to make the miles the same on my new gauges. I need a faster way than driving 100,000 miles ( I'm a busy guy ). BTW, the cluster is still out of the car if that helps. Isn't my cars speedo electric, not cable driven. Can I just swap the little drums?

my word of advice... leave elec speedos as it is...and mech speedos are a pain..
dont open it up... cos there are too many gears and alignement issues involved....

drive it as it is and be happy..

the gauge is a modular design...

u can remove each one induvidually,.... but i wouldnt adviceu to do that ...

if i were u i would go with the complete better lookin one...

i know 89 is diff from 90-92
90-92 ive seen the same type

so see if all gauges in a cluster are workign fine and fit it...if not just try replacing one of them first ... dont open it up totally'

and i lost my temp gauge ... and i said what the heck and bought a mechanical temp gauge (2 1/16) and fit it in my gauge pod) gives me a betetr reading and more relaible...

good lock man try it though..

I am not sure about the camaro ones, but my firebird, all I had to do was replace the Odometer unit. there was only a few screws to change it. The hardest part was poping out the reset button for the trip Odometer. (lemme explain: My trip odometer did not work, so I had to replace the unit, I re-set up the numbers for the correct milage on my new odomoeter. The reset button on the replacement one was bent, my onld one was fine, so I just replaced the pieces that were messed up...)

Matter of fact the electronic driven odometer assemblies are all the same for firebirds. It would not surprise me to find out that the Camaro ones are the same for 90/91 & 92 as the firebird ones, but they proabably are different.

hope that helps... I should do a tech article...
