91 Formula 5-speed. I want to install a shifter--how do I remove the console? I have the bolts out already. I need to disconnect wires. Do I just have to take out the radio? Any problems there?

Any other stuff I should watch out for? Oh, it's a Pro-5.0 shifter.

 

disconnect all wiring to the switches, etc. then pull the radio and face plate and that stuff and I think that does it.... as far as I remember, good luck

I'm not sure about the firebird, but when i removed mine from my Camaro there where 4 bolts that held it in place to the floor.
