Engine: 3.1 v6, 305 tpi
Transmission: 700r4, 700r4
Axle/Gears: 3.23, 3.23
Hissing noise from rear
I just recently got a 85 z28 tpi and im hearing a hissing noise from the rear. Sounds like its on the drivers side rear around the tank

Yeah I know but I've never heard them hiss like that and there is a strong gas smell. My 91 doesn't do it

Well, you could read the link on how to clean the vent. The very first post tells of a strong smell of gas. Not all third gens act the same. Your '91 is probably working okay.
