My son has a 1982 Firebird T/A that needs new wiring, flip up lights and relay, along with most of the interior. We found a 1986 Firebird that has a blown engine but the rest of the car is in great shape. Is the interior, flip up lights and wiring interchangeable between those two years? Not concerned up keep it to original appereance for the year just so the components fit. Thanks

 

Everything will physically bolt over, and if the headlights are both 3 wire motors, then yea they will transfer too. There may be a wiring issue with changing the headlight harness over, but again, if the motors are 3 wire on both cars, then the relays and headlights with motors can swap over.

P.s. you'll want to swap his 82 headlight bezels over to the 86 parts, as the headlight bezels are slightly more squared off on your 82 if my memory serves me well.

None that I know of. Some service manuals are floating around online with diagrams and schematics if needed.

 

Dash may not be the same but I'm not 100% sure.
