Metro TTOP Weatherstrip too tight

Prior to gluing down the weatherstip, I have tried a test installation to see how things fit. The TTOP glass won't go into the TBAR because the weatherstip hasn't got enough clearance, and doesn't seem to be enough flexibility in the material to allow the glass to press down and squeeze it.

I am nervous that the glass will break if I force it. I am just as nervous that the TBAR will break.

Any advice?

Re: Metro TTOP Weatherstrip too tight

I had the same issue with my Metro kit. The T bar shouldn't break if it's in decent condition. I would be pretty surprised if you could break it. ...as for the outside edge of the T tops, I had to adjust the metal adjustment tabs up so the T tops didn't have to come down as far. They stuck up a good 3/16" of an inch higher than they were supposed to. Sit 'em outside in the sun and get 'em nice and hot. They'll settle in. had the same issue with my rear hatch. Had to adjust the pulldown motor up to not pull the hatch down all the way.Took me most of the summer, in and out of the heat to get it to settle in, and allow for proper re-adjustment of the tops and hatch.
