90-92 Gauges into an 89

Is there any problems with swapping the gauge cluster?

yeah its a pain in the ***, tehre is alot of work involed. You must swap the whole dash and then you need to change from your cable driven to electronic cluster and that means work at the tranny. Search the board, this has been throughly discussed.

Dash swap

Converting from the the cable driven speedometer to and an electric is not difficult at all, you can do it easily by ordering a part from jagsthatrun.com (I am sure there are other places). Not sure about the calibration but if it's wrong you have two choices, get the right gear combos which involve removing the rear tailhousing of the trannsmission, yes this can be done with the tranny in the car easily. The other option is to be lazy and but the SGI05 from Dakota Digital.

And swapping out the dash, yeah its easy, not hard at all. the bitch is repinning the wires on the cluster connecters.
