Hood to bumper cover gap
Hood to bumper cover gap
Hello been on here for awhile but first post. I just bought a 92 RS. The car had been in a small accident and was repaired from what I can see fairly well. The only exception is the gap between my bumper cover and hood and the hood stripes are a lil off. The drivers fender was replaced along with the hood and bumper cover. The owner said there were parts that could be saved but she insisted on new with the collector car insurance. All other gaps look really good. Can I adjust this or do I just have to live with it?

Re: Hood to bumper cover gap
To get the bumper up so its flush with the hood, there are i believe 3 mounting screws, 10mm. Its the metal bracket that screws into the top of the bumper. Put some washers under the bracket to put the front up. The was done on mine years ago. As for the gap, There is no play on this bracket to force it back a bit. I would look at the hood hinges and see if you can move the hood a tad forward.
