Hood/Bumper cover gap

This has been bugging me since i got it back from the shop, that stupid gap just won't go away! it has a new headlamp support, a new cover (all GM) and a new absorber, and that didin't do anything, it still has it! it had it with the old peices to, so i am just wondering if anyone else here has had that problem and if they have fixed it sucessfully?

here is a pic.

sorry they are so dark, but the gap is more pronouced than it looks.

there should be a couple of rubber screw things on the sill where the hood rests in the front, if you screw them in a little further the hood may sit lower.

I agree, just lower the rubber stoppers.

the hood aligns with the fender lines perfectly, it's the bumper cover that is not correctly aligned, has anyone else fixed that?

Shim it. Put washers underneath the upper bolts on the bumper cover.

those onces on the front, correct? because i want to run those plexiglass covers, and with the way the nose is fitting, they would look BAD.

Yeah, thats right. What plexiglass covers? You can probably remove the bumper and bend the sheet metal up if you have to, but shimming is easier.

There are bolts(2 per) on the sides of the headlamp support(next to inner lamp).Loosen those & the center nuts, behind the center bumper emblem.Lift up on the bumper & tighten the nut/bolts.Check gap, repeat if required. The hood latch as mentioned above is also helpful. There are no shims required or used(except on the steel bumper to frame horns, which does nothing for the bumper cover in terms of raising it.
