I'm looking to upgrade my ground effects to the 91-92 aero style (front to rear bumper).

Does anyone have any experience or feedback on VFN Fiberglass? They sell '91-92 Z28 6piece Ground F/X . Weight=8 Ship: UPS Item. Price=$480.00 and '91-92 Rear Bumper. Weight=8 each Ship: UPS Item. Price=$350.00.

$830 sounds a heck of alot better than going with the Ecklers for $1659.99 https://www.rickscamaros.com/camaro-...1991-1992.html, Ecklers includes the front fascia which I don't think I need as I'm pretty sure I can bolt the areo front spoiler to my 88 fascia.

 

I like the 90 and back better but it’s your car not mine. I think you’d be a fool not to pull the ground effects from a junkyard though.

 

I'd have to agree, they built hundreds of thousands of 91-92 Camaros, and every one of them had those ground effects. You can probably get them used for less than half of that, and you won't have any of the quality/fit issues that you'll have with the aftermarket parts.

 

Aftermarket ground effects don't usually fit right. My car had them and they never fit right and were warping. I went back with some good used ones and man what a better fit.

 

Thanks dmccain, that is good feedback in general. I would love to hear from anyone who has an Eckler set and how they've held up. I have a matching set of door ground effects/rockers. I'm having a tough time finding a matching front and rear bumber/effects and an even tougher time finding a complete set.

I do like the look of aero's and I was a huge fan of the Lotus Esprit growing up, The aero effects on 3rd gens Camaros look similar. I also have a 4th gen rear and I'm running 17x9.5's front and back that stick out quite a bit and I feel the aero effects would really fill in the space nicely.

 

Could someone with aero ground effects measure theirs? I'm interested what the differences in width are. On my car they measure 3.5 front and 4.5 rocker.
