88 Camaro OEM ground effects

I've had the ground effects off my 88 for about a year and a half... We just painted (dipped) and are reinstalling everything finally.. We are going through the hardware bin and can't remember what fasteners hold the top of the ground effects to the rail. I have the screws for the bottom, but don't have anything for the top. It looks like it should be some type of spring clamp or push in fitting.

Don't mind the foot..

What goes here?

Googling some pics, it looks like the push clips with the philips screw head on them.

Metal phillips head screws about 5/8" long. They screw into the metal bracket on the side of the car. Underneath uses 7mm hex head screws to attach to the pinch weld. There should also be a rear support attached to the qtr panel for the ground effect to clip onto, and behind the emblem is two more holes that can be used to attach to the front fender. Do not overly tighten anything as the ground effect is fiberglass and will crack.

Explains why the pics looked like phillips screws then lol. The best pic I could find looked like it had a washer around it, making it look like those plastic push clips with the plastic phillips "screw" to hold it in place.

Re: 88 Camaro OEM ground effects

Thanks for the help.. We found the right bag of screws and its going back together. The slot the screws go into has a real thin opening and didn't look like sheet metal screws would go into it..

Thanks for the warning on the cracking. I already had to do one fiberglass repair.. looked like someone along the way must have jumped a curb

I just posted a similar question. Can you please (pretty please) post pictures of the screws you found?

This is from the top of the rocker panel. I'm still looking for the acorn nuts that hold the pieces to the door. All of the stores I've looked in don't have them..
