HELP!?! gauge cluster removal
I cant get the cluster out of the dash. the cluster feels like its been glued into the dash. i had to unbolt the dash to be able to get behind the cluster and now i cant get wires disconnected from the cluster. they r the only thing holding the dash on the car rite now. i hoping that i just screwed up somewhere and that its not glued and i have to cut it out.
how EXACTLY do u unplug the wires from the back of the cluster? its a '83 with the big fuel gauge and idiot lights. the cluster is goin to be replaced with one from a '92, so if i have to cut it, its not a big deal. i would like to sell it on ebay to make up for some of the cost of the new cluster. any help is more than needed..

You got the two stamped nuts at the bottom (inside the light bulb housings for the indicators along the bottom) and detached the speedometer cable? You may have to lower the steering column a bit, as well. That's no problem though, just spin the two nuts on the steering column bracket down to the end of the studs and that should give you enough room to get the cluster out. Once you get the two stamped nuts inside the cluster out, you should be able to pull the cluster out far enough to reach behind it to pop off the speedometer cable.

there are the wire harness looking things in the bottom corners below the speedo and fuel/tach? if so, it feels like there glued in the cluster.
