Removing nuts untouched since 1983

Anyone know what's so special about these two spots, in terms of rusting? They don't seem more or less exposed than other areas nearby which fared better.


That center hole was a mouse's front door for a while. Looks like he kept the inside of the frame rust free for me on that side.



Rustthrough is complete right here. Other nearby rust is surface only.

Just spots that didn't get coated very well when the car was dipped in the Ecoat/primer tanks. They are dipped and coated with the front/rear bumpers bolted on.
