Another 88 gta question about side markers

Are my front side marker lights the same as the rear sides
fit wise
I can buy nice clear housings on eBay for only the front sides
but nothing for the rear sides
now will the front side fit in the rears
it will look dumb if I just get front sides
ty

The front are different sizes than the rear. I also wanted to do like you're suggesting, but it won't work to just drop in. I got a set of junk fenders and I cut the metal out and will be welding it into the quarters so I can run clear markers all the way around

Back in the old days, if you wanted clear lights or tinted lights, you could remove the lens and cut a new one from plexi or polycarbonate. The only catch here is you'd lose the diffuser and integral reflector.

I haven't done it yet. They probably won't hold back water though since there is no gasket. I was going to figure something out, but that would a fair weather car from that point anyway. Washing it would be most of the water it would see

Back in the day my buddy did this for his mk2 jetta but used a chunk of diffused cover from a kitchen florescent fixture. Didn't look too bad.

I bought a set of cleared firebird assemblies from a forum members years and years ago because he had a set of front clears I wanted. I never installed them because my car is red so the rears blend in but I can almost guarantee they have been lost in the bowels of my garage. They didn't look too difficult to make?
