Can anyone help me with this question. Is a T/A -88 GTA with 305 TPI and TH700R rare? And how many hp does it have?

Since you have the 305 the have T-Tops right??

It should have about 205HP...

My understanding is that the 350 was standard with the GTA package. However, it was often deleted and replaced with the 305 so that the manual tranny could be used.

My '88 GTA was originally a 305 car, although it has an automatic. It also has t-tops (maybe that was why it had the smaller engine).

The 5.0L/A4 combo is rare on an '88 GTA, although as put so bluntly by MrJ...... not too highly desired.

It does seem that most 5.0L/A4 GTAs I've seen do have the T-tops, though. Buck might be onto something there.....

When ordering a new GTA in '88, the default transmission for the 5.0L was the 5-speed. The 700R4 had to be specified with that engine, or the 5-speed would be installed..... Why somebody would specify it is beyond me.

But I've got one too.....
