Are all 89 Formulas WS6, and cat question...?

I was just wondering if all Formulas were inherently Ws6 or what. Also, I saw somewhere that the 89 L98 Formula only came with a dual catalytic converter setup, is this true? I own one, but I haven't seen it yet (ah the miracles of buying on the internet).

Really? That's strange. I found out from the former ownder (still possessor) this weekend that it does indeed have dual cats. Are you running headers and some custom exhaust work, maybe done before you go it? The way I read it in most of the tech articles I've been seeing (here and at other sites), the dual cat was an option on the 305, but standard on the TPI 350...

The N10 dual cat exhaust was a mid year introduction in 89. Although all Formula 350s were supposed to have it stock, many of the early production cars still came with the single cat exhaust. A friend had such a car and it was factory original.

When I was shopping for my car in Feb 89 I found that none of the 350s had dual cats (contrary to what the magazines and Pontiac brocherures were saying). When I checked back in mid March all the 350s had the dual cats.
