looking for new interior opinions?

i recently started redoing my interior, adding graphite leather Z28 seats. i like the color and it goes well with my gray carpet, but i have always wanted white leather. i could never find white leather for a decent price though.

now i have a chance to basically trade my graphite leather Z28 seats for white leather TA seats. I always liked the white leather in some cars and thought it looked really well in show cars, but i'm torn because i'm not sure on how it would look in my candy red camaro.

how many think i should stay with the graphite?
how many think i should go with the white?

is the rest of the interior grey like the carpet, with the exterior paint being candy red?? Or have you repainted your interior??

If you have red on the outside, and grey on the inside, i think it'd be best to go w/ the grey z28 seats.... dont think a candy red/gray/white scheme would look to well (then again i may be wrong)

if you have red on the interior as well as the exterior i'd say go w/ the white leather as it would be a nice contrast w/ the red.

are you buying the seats in person? if so just ask if you can put one in your car and see how it looks...just take the passenger seat out and see how the white would look

stay away from the white leather

I have a friend with a 97, 30th anniversary Camaro with the white leather interior and he spends more time cleaning the interior than he does drive the car. It gets dirty real fast. Just a heads up if you decide to go this route. Later

I actually built a 1/25th model of a 91 Z28, painted it Bright Red Clearcoat(GM color), and put white T/A seats in it. It looks AWESOME.

thanks for everyone's opinions..........

right now the car has the light gray interior minus the seats and replaced with graphite z28 leather seats. it looks good even though it's 2 shades of gray.

i look at it like this, the 25th anniversary TA, the 30th anniversary ta, and the 30th anniversary camaro that had the white leather option all had either gray or black interior parts........so in effect it would be no different.

but, the car is red where as the anniversary cars were usually white. i can see this is a big difference and that's why i'm a little concerned.

i'm not worried about keeping it clean as i hardly drive the car anyway; i've always liked the custom candy red hot rods with white leather as well as the 60's mustangs with the pony white leather..............basically where i got all the ideas for my car anyway.

so, i just figured i'd ask to see what everyone thought about the whole idea.....as either way i plan to accent the pannels and a few other choice things with leather that matches the paint. but the seats are what will make or break my interior. everything else is just an added bonus.

Tough choice. I think the white and grey would look good together on your car if you add white to the door panels.

I also think that if you go with the white seats, you should stay away from adding any candy red to the interior like you were asking about awhile back. I think that would be too much. My reason has to do with all of the candy red/white interiored custom mercs I've seen over the years. That is a bright combo, and any grey or black would make it too busy. If you wanted red carpet and red and/or white plastic to replace all of the grey and black, that might look alright, but even still I think it would probably look too retro.

Candy red accents with the graphite seats would look killer though, imho.

you know what blue.........i think your right.

my plan is to keep my graphite seats and match the doors with graphite leather and a hint of red leather that matches my paint.
i also plan on doing the wheel two tone like this along with the parking brake lever.

other than that i will hide a splash of color here an there possibly in the interior, but try to do it tastefully.

now i need ideas on a tasteful pattern to do the doors in! will this ever end?
