Firebird owners..floppy headlights?

Ok..those of you with Firebirds..t/a's formulas ..gta's..help me fix this super annoying problem thats getting progessively worse. My damn driver side headlight bounces on every little bump in the road and makes it seem like my lights are broken and pisses off other divers and including the nut behind the wheel. So Ive looked into fixing this a few times and i honestly think its the bushings that the arms pivot on that are worn out. Ive rebuilt fully both motors with steel gears etc years ago but that didnt help this. I swapped to another headlight assemlby that seem pretty tight but now is just as bad as my last one. With the headlight up, I can wiggle the assembly and its shakes in the pivot arms the most from what I can tell. Does any make replacements parts for this or come up with an alternative to make the headlights solid again id love some insight.

Thanks

Re: Firebird owners..floppy headlights?

The culprit is most-likely the nut circled in the pic below:

Many, many years ago my passenger side headlight got struck by road debris, which caused it to start jiggling. Yes, it's very annoying. Then in 2013 when I did a projector retrofit into my pop-up assemblies, while everything was disassembled, I tracked down the jiggling to that nut. Tightening it, fixed it. As you can see by its location, you'll have to do some disassembly to reach that nut.

I don't mind disassembly. I tied tightening every nut and bolt. Maybe it had come loose over time. I can tell you that if that nut is the culprit then some red thread locker is going on it this time.
