Show me your WHEELS!!

Hi guys and gals,

I am always browsing the net to find cool fbody's with interesting custom touches.

I love to see firebirds and camaros with interesting chances to them.

SO, if you have an fbody with wheels on it other than the ones it came with originally post 'em on here and lets show them off!

I'll start with my 84 firebird sport coupe which originally came with 14" inch steel wheels. I have since put on the standard 15 inch aluminum wheels and now upgraded to 16" Formula Rims. Interesting "stock look" on the car.

Here's mine...

Don't laugh too hard, they came with the car. I have a set of factory aluminum wheels that'll go back on it this spring.

How hard is it to put 4th gen wheels on a thirdgen car!? Are 17 inchers doable?

Thanks for posting all your pics of your wheels. The're awsome.

Hey j166a99
Those 4th gen wheels look really sweet. What kind of spoiler do you have going on there? It almost looks like the spoiler of of the 82-84 MSETA trans ams or the Macho Trans Ams.

Love the WS6 17 inchers on the purple T/A. Yes that must have been a dent in the ol pocket. DO THEY RUB??

Well, I got a deal on the wheels, $225 from a friend of mine who bought aftermarket wheels.
The tires were $488, friend at a Jaguar Dealership ordered them for me.
One of our Club members works at Firestone and mounted and balanced the wheels for me for free.
The Spacers were $353 from VetteBrakes, 2-1/4" all around.

Don't know if they rub yet, car isn't starting right now. Still working out the bugs in the Carb to TPI swap.

thanks billsfirebird ,

its pretty funny how i came around the spoiler. it was offered by wings west and was described as 'wraparound' w/o a picture. i thought it was the 85-90 aerowing ive been looking for (same one offered by GTAuto, but was not available back then) for so long.

i was going to return it, but then i placed it in the back and looked more agressive, wide if you will. Also if fins out just a bit from the body to the top of the spoiler and looks like a mini version of the aerowing.

heres another pic:

Irocdan... I have asked about wheel sizes which you have forever!! and no one had resonded...

I am getting 17x 9.5 front and 17 x 11 or 10 in rear... did you have trouble fitting those? or did they just slide right in? It looks as if they dont even stick out from the well at all either.?!?!

PLease respond, i am getting these sizes for ROH Black Ice wheels and painting my z28 Sebring Silver Metallic...
