I have a 1989 camaro badges around the car say rs but I did a vin look up and it’s coming back as a iroc has lo3 engine and a t5 transmission the door handles say limited edition what’s just wondering what you guys thought

So why do you think the title is coming back as iroc same with RPO codes

 

Check the VIN number on the RPO code sheet. The console & RPO sheet may have been changed at some point

 

Gin on rpo sheet matches vin on title and vin on dash

 

Guess so if spid says z28 with vin on the top that matches.
jusr didn’t think the 5.0l tbi was a z28 . Was thinking only tpi lb9 and l98 only but could be mistaken.

 

Yea I thought only tpi also but when I looked up vin everywhere I looked it kept says iroc my guess is before old owner painted it he maybe replaced the ground effect maybe they were cracked and found some good one on a rs

I'm going to go with RS. If it was an IROC it would have a hood with louvers and also fog lights. Plus it would be a lot of work to make an IROC look like an RS by putting the RS badging on the ground effects and changing out the hood, and usually it goes the other way. The LO3 was available in an IROC in '89, but 20k Irocs were produced that year vs 83k RS cars, so once again I'm leaning towards it being an RS.
