Will 82-84 rear bumper cover fit a 91?

I really like the look of the 82-84 rear bumper cover as compared to the fatter bumper on my 91. Would it fit if I try to swap my rear cover out for one of the new production 82-84 bumpers? Thank you!

I assume Firebird?

It'll fit but

1. Might not match if you got ground effects
2. Ther inner Honey Comb is differetn

swapped my 89 and had to change the honey Comb.

Prolly be the same for the camaro as well

Yes Firebird sorry about that! I have a 91 Formula. Thanks for the good info about the honeycomb. I don’t know what’s under there and if it’ll fit so it might not be a good idea to do the swap.

Oh yeah, def the honeycomb is different...the 82-84 honey comb goes very high

the 91-92 bumper kinda "steps down" a bit under the lights...so the honey comb is different....

they SAY you might be able to slide the 82-84 over the 91-92 honeycomb though... or you can trim it if anything. the knight rider guys do this a lot...maybe ask one of them who converted a 91/92?

I don't think the more angular 82-84 bumper will match the smoother 91-92 nose though unless you convert the front as well.

Thank you so much! Good to know that if I want to do it I’ll need a different impact bar and honeycomb.

No prob!

Impact bar for the rear i believe is the same..its just the honey comb is different. but it bolted right up to the 89. I think I had to drill a hole or two though.

The 82 -84 ront impact bar is differetn though.... Also, you'll need the front light bezels / light assemblies, turn signals etc.. if you change that.
