I figure that this has been asked somewhere before but I could not find it. I have an 83 camaro Z28 that came with the cross fire fuel injection. I have replaced the engine with an 87 IROC 305 TPI, which I have changed over to the 90-92 Speed Density system with the front air intake that comes down by the radiator. My stock fiberglass 83 hood when closed comes down and hits the air intake, so it does not close. I have been looking around and I have read other posts on various places that the 85-92 hood for TPI would close. But I have seen other posts saying that any stock hood would work. So I am a little confused in regards to which hood I would need. Does anyone know if the 85-92 TPI hood have provisions for the air intake? I don't want to find/purchase the wrong hood for my project.

 

V6 cars also had that style of intake if i recall.
