Brand new door rubbers ,,Wont close now
Bought Brand New Door Rubbers from summit, quality is very good.
Had the car painted few months ago,, decided to replace ALL the door rubbers,, EVERYTHING went on perfect now doors wont close and i dont close or even look like closing,, 3 inches from closure the new rubbers kick in and i a not forcing the door or cutting the new rubbers.
where to next.

Are you referring to the seals that are mounted to the inside of the door and wrap around it starting from the mirror all the way down, under and back up to the door latch and proceed to the top? they should be very soft and spongy. got photos?

There the ones..
The doors are aligned perfect with all the gaps 100% correct.
There brand new and i put grease on the front part near the side mirror end of the rubber.
The section on the right is the problem..screw holes lined up perfect though, all the fasteners fitted perfect, all the plastic plugs went in correct
Tight as an old boot...door wont close

hard to tell from the photos, but the rubber should be kind of like foam. not rubbery, but very soft rubber. can you squeeze it in easily?

I just did new door seals, window seals and sweeps and its really hard to close with window up and easier with window down a bit this should ease as seals get used to the pressure

Re: Brand new door rubbers ,,Wont close now
I ordered a pair of Goodmark GMK402242582P door seals to try. When they arrived there was a Goodmark sticker on a set of Soffseal seals. I am kinda disappointed because I have used the Soffseal in the past and found them stiff and oversized.
But to find any door seals right now can be difficult so I will keep them and use them.
I do have a set of Fairchild t-top seals coming though.
