Weatherstripping removal

Is there anyway to remove the weatherstripping on a hardtop without destroying it?

This is for a regular on the top part where the glass touches...I can't seem to pop it out of the metal channel at all without ripping it!

thanks guys!

3M makes a weatherstrip adhesive remover spray. You could try and pull the weatherstripping back slightly and spray and hope it dissolves the glue.

Brake clean can sometimes be used for a similar purpose, but usually from interior trim adhesive more than weather strip glue.
