fender fit?

fender fit?

i want to install the trans am vented fenders on my 91 base model firebird. are all the thirdgen front fenders interchagable? i know the nose pieces are different but the fenders appear to be identicle.

search feature actually worked for me. looks like 85-92 will fit with only ground fx mounting holes needing to be drilled in some cases.

They’re all the same from ‘82-‘92. The Trans Am fenders had the opening cut out with stamped out flange holes inside for the decorative vent cover to attach. So, after you cut out the hole for the vent, you will have to come up with a way to attach the decorative vent cover to the fender.

The best solution would be to source some ‘82-‘84 Trans Am fenders from a wrecking yard or parts place. Those had the vents with no GFX holes (except the ‘83 Daytona 500, aero package equipped ‘84 T/A and the 15th Anniv cars). Or, you can possibly try Classic Industries which I think sells aftermarket T/A fenders.
