gta fenders on a maro

is it possible to get the gta (at least i think thats what they are) fenders with the scoop on the bottom onto an 89 camaro or no? could you just cut a hole for them and mold them into place or what? i really really want to do this after seeing jjlabinski's car. please help!

That would be a custom mod, the fenders are different and don't directly swap, you have a different body line on the camaro fender to contend with thats not on the firebird fender + the fender lip is different..

i knew the whole fender wouldn't fit on my car. my question is can i modify my fenders and just put the scoops from that style fender into my fender?

Sure it can be done just graft the section out of the bird fender into the camaro it would take a bit of skill to cut and fit then weld it in and finish the panel but it's done all the time ..

Beter to use a card board template taken of a GTA & then transfer those to your car. after doing this cut the hole with a dremmel tool after that you can install the scoops either by fastening or fuixing them with some epoxy.

The fender vents are on the T/A (not sure about s/e, base & something else I'm forgetting).
GTA & Formulas had no vents.

As far as grafting the vents, it can be done.
Sickness91Z28 is the most prominent one that sticks in my mind... try PM'ing him for details.
Quite old post about it...
