Rear View Mirror Lightbulb Replacement

I recently purchased a fourth-gen rear-view mirror for my '86 IROC with the integrated map lights. Is there any way to replace the bulbs in the mirror without cracking it open? I am testing out blue interior lighting and the white mirror lights are a little out of place

I think ya gotta pull the piece that surrounds the glass off, the the glass pops out, exposing the bulbs.

those are very simple to replace as ive done it before (replaced the whit bulbs with red when i had my 96). well anyways, take a flathead screwdriver, a thin one if u have it. from the outside i believe, there should be a place in the lens that u can pull on. use the screwdriver and pry, very lightly. they should just pop off. the bulbs are a PITA to take out. fuse tweasers help alot for that. i hope thats what u need.

I managed to replace the bulbs rather easily... now I have a nice blue glow. Thanks!
