What are the factory clips for the front fender liner/spashshields?
3rd gen camaro looking to know what clips where used from the factory. I've seen so many in these cars, working on 1992 hole is 6mm. I personally think the last style is the cleanest but you will bend the fender trying to removing because there are oversized where those christmas tree style the original clips?
Re: What are the factory clips for the front fender liner/spashshields?
The 90ish to 92 used a redesigned liner.
the top of the liner uses the push pins on the bottom of your picture.
the liner has a notch about 4 holes up on the front/rear.
the liner tucks behind the fender at the notch and uses speed nuts with 7mm head captured washer screws.

My 87 and 89 had from the factory, a combo of the 3rd and 4th pic. The 4th type was used on the bottom closer to the ground while the rest was all the 3rd type of clip.....I changed it al lto the third because those are much easier to install and remove.

sorry for the old photos, 1992 liners. I also have a nos set just like them. You can see the notch on the front and rear about 4 screws up. From my understanding, it was for tire clearance.

I think the firebirds where different, I know the lines are, and I never seen a camaro with bolts holding the liner, I dont even have holes in the fender in some of the spots you have bolts
Re: What are the factory clips for the front fender liner/spashshields?
Holy cow, i just saw camaro... all i saw b4 was 1992.
i need to sleep more work less
sorry about that, I'm pretty sure the camaro liners are different.
Re: What are the factory clips for the front fender liner/spashshields?
Yes, camaro's differ from FB. The outer clips to fender are the same type as used on the plastic cover thats under the hood between the headlamps. Its a smaller version of the 3rd pictured in the first post. The inner holes on the liner used the same type 0f 7mm screws as used throughout the car inside/out.. Those srews had little rubber caps on the topside, so you wouldnt poke yourself when working near them.

As far a Firebirds go, and probably true of Camaro's as well, you can't get the original factory securing widgets anymore. the factories on my 90 Firebird have a line across the head from the mold I presume. they are all smooth now, no lines to be found. I searched hi and low for them. the same holds true for most bolt heads. the factory bolts had some identifier from the manufacture - can't find these anymore anywhere. probably out of business.
