2 good questions

the underneath of my car had a bit of surface rust so i took sand paper and sanded off the rust and then put some rust check over it then a layer of black rust paint then more rust check. i was just wondering if i could have done more harm then good how will i be able to tell if it was rusting again?or would that rust check stop the rusting or i mean prolong the rusting???and my other question is the top right part of my front seat belt is sticking really bad would i be able to just buy that part or would i have to buy the whole seat belt?and if i can are those quite expensive?

About the rust, I'm not sure if that will do more harm than good, but if you want to seal the rust completely, get some POR-15 (http//www.por15.com). You paint it on and it dries almost like ceramic and it won't peel, crack or chip. My car has no underbody rust and I'm gonna be putting 2 coats of POR-15 on it this spring to keep it that way. Good luck.
