Door glass seating in groove

I just reinstalled door glass after paint restoration, everything looks food and seems to fit well but when i close the door the glass sits on top of the seal instead of seating in the groove, its a hard top btw, do these cars have a relay that lowers the glass when the door opens and closes when door is shut, The first pic is how it is when i shut normally, i have to push in on glass when shutting to get it in the groove.

These cars don't have the function that newer cars do to lower the window slightly when you open the door. Looks like upper window stop needs to be adjusted down a little bit.

oh man that made me nearly spit out my coffee.. When these cars were designed and built, the most high tech thing on the market was a Sony Walkman and flip up headlights.
