The hood is crooked, need to align it better.
The hood actually looks very very good in that picture. The paint is shot to hell though.

I am trying to get a hatch from this dude that has 3 of them. He's been out of town for a couple of weeks.

I get my y-pipe tomorrow, so I might be able to drive it around without getting a ticket for obnoxiously loud exhaust.

out of curiosity why did you need a new hood and hatch, did you buy just a shell of a car?

I broke my old hatch when I was putting on my 4th gen spoiler. Long story, made a huge mess.

My old hood had a small ding in it so I got this one. It was free, so I gave mine to my friend.
This is how my car looked before I tore her apart,

hey 88 WS6 TransAm GTA....do you have any pics of your gunmetal gray GTA? I am interested in how it looks....gunmetal gray GTA's are my fav. thirdgen's....I wish I could find one for sale...I only have 1 pic of a gunmetal gray thirdgen so can I have some of yours?

Sry Zepher for messin up your post...but by the way I like the way you are keeping the hood stock...love the gfx...cant wait to see your finished product....but I do think that the only hood that would look better than that stock one would be the powerbulge hood...trust me it looks great on TA's and GTA's...even better than they do on formulas.

James

Well, I am only using the stock hood cuz I can't afford the one I want yet. Spent so much on all the go fast and handling parts.
This is the hood I want on my car,

this is my car with a photoshop'd Ram Air hood.

Nope, sold them to a guy with a Grand National so that I could buy my wheel spacers. He needed 4 front GTA wheels and I just happened to have 4 fronts on my Trans Am.

Nice photoshop job. I really like those RA hoods, especially with a bird on the hood like Scott's.

Man, Zepher, I've always loved your TA. I still think it's the best lookin' thirdgen I've ever seen. Gotta love the unique paint job; I like the darker paint on the GFX, v-part of the hood, and wing... When you paint it silver, will you be sticking to that paint scheme? Also, if your putting on a 4th gen wing (black?), why is the RA hood you want not the 4th gen one with the rounder nostrils? Just curious, but looking good, man! When's she gettin' paint?

Thanks.

I am going Silver with Black accents, not sure if I am going to paint the V on the hood or just use a pair of stripes that are skinny up front and get larger as it comes up towars the windshield.

I chose the 4th Gen 97 and earlier Ram Air hood since it matches the car better. The 98+ style is just too aggressive looking and is too high, doesn't match the lines of the car.

I will have her painted after I get the hood. I don't really care how she looks right now, I just want to drive her again, been a long time already.

Honestly, cuz it was free. If I don't have money for the hood by April, then I will just paint the car then and buy the Ram Air hood in the fall.

I'd like to have the car presentable by the summer so I can get some hot girls to pose with her.

The only thing left from the old hatch is the metal deck lid.
If you want it just let me know.

Give me a call and come get it.
406-0867

How do you get the glass off of the deck lid, there is this sealer and it's on there pretty good. I was going to use my old deck lid since the one on the hatch is dented, but we couldn't get the deck lid off of the hatch.
