Nose repainting

Hey all just looking for some advice on the best way to prep and paint the nose. It has spider cracking and paint chipping. Obviously sanding it down but what should I use to fill in all the cracks to smooth it out? Would regular bondo work? Thanks in advance

Not bondo. You need epoxy for the plastic bumper. Something like this:

Also if it's just in the paint it will likely sand out. You'll also need to spray an adhesion promoter before you paint. If you take it down to black that is. I've just been through this on my Firebird

It's called Sure seal plastic surgery by Dominion. I'm sure there are other brands as well but it'll give you and idea of what to use

Re: Nose repainting

I bought used frt. and back bumper covers when I painted my car as mine were too far gone. I sanded them down with a DA sander working my way down on paper coarseness. I had a few gouges and filled them with bondo. I coated the bumpers with Bulldog brand adhesion promoter and primed with urethane primer. Painted with single stage urethane paint, been a long time ago and they still look good but my car is a track only car.
