ok one more try...attn blue502

Just a quick question im sure you've been asked a million times, what color is the paint on your camaro? Looks pretty sharp and im looking for a brighter blue than the original iroc blue on my 87, the car is stripped and as soon as I get the motor plate mounts welded Im gonna be lookin for paint.

Thanks,
Brian

It is the factory 1986 code 23 bright blue metallic commonly referred to as IROC Blue. The 87 color has a bit more red to it, but is very similar. The difference is most likely due to the fact that my car has been repainted. It does appear to be slightly lighter than original, but not much. Also colorsanding really helps make the color glow.

When lance and my car are parked next to each other, you can really see how close the colors are (mine is that blue from 90) but his is just more "new lookin" mine looks a little more faded ect. but the color is pretty much identical.

The biggest difference that I noticed between mine and Dewey's car is that his uses the later pearl metallic (very fine flakes), whereas mine uses the earlier traditional metallic (larger flakes). It makes a subtile, but noticable difference.
