What the heck? I hate being a newbie...but it kept telling me page ould not be found every time I submitted a new thread.

Did my question even show up??

Oh well.

Quick question from the newest newbie. I'm looing at purchasing a digital dash that came out of an '88 GTA.

Now, my '89 GTA didn't have a digital dash stock. I'm wondering if I will be able to install a digital one into my car. And if so, what kind of a project am I looking at? Here's a pic.

Any help you guys can offer is greatly apreciated. In the mean time I'll dance around. :lala:

Wow, nothing like hating on the new guy.

Could a moderator delete my other two threads? Thanks.

First of all, dont get that dash off of ebay. It is in crappy condition. Secone, your gonna need the entire dash wirring harness for the dash to work properly, or even at all. In my opinion, it IS worth it, because I LOVE the GTA digital dash, and once I find a wirring harness, Im installing the one I have layin around in my GTA!

Thanks alot for the reply Rob. Cherry Hill huh? I live in Gibbsboro (small town right next to Voorhees). If you find one of those wire harnesses anywhere locally let me know!

Hey man, I know where that is! the junk yards kinda suck around here. I have been to just about every one I can think of, and none of them are big on third gens. I guess thats a good thing though, right?

I've also heard you need the correct sensors for the digital dash--the others won't work--and I think I heard something about changing the ecm--that I'm not sure about tho. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Ok--this is going back a few years--but once I pulled a digital dash from a T/A that originally had a regular dash--the person did the conversion--I turned the key before pulling it and everything worked--I think he used the factory dash harness because everything was spliced--lots of tape! So it might be able to be done--gotta do your homework tho. Ever try to price out the engine sensors for the digital dash? Can't hurt!
