Help Steering Wheel

going to junk yard tomorrow and there is a 86 t/a with the 3 spoke steering wheel in it, can my friend put this into his 92 firebird with no problem? Hes willing to give up airbag (doesnt work anyway) and how the hell do i remove steering wheels from third gens, tried today but couldnt get it? please help

as far as if the wheel will fit. Im not sure but if you want to get the wheel of the 86 then you will have to use a steering wheel puller or once you get the horn cover off back the retaing nut off untill it if flush with the center bolt. grab hold of the wheel at 3 and 9 oclock and pull while a friend hits the nut and center bolt with a hammer. this will work sometimes if you dont have a puller.
also try wd-40 or something like that on the shaft before you try to get it loose.

It'll fit well enough to drive the car, but it'll probably rub the steering column and won't fit as far down on the splines as it should... In other words, its not worth bothering with.
