will v-6 speedo and tack work in v-8 car?

will v-6 speedo and tack work in v-8 car?
can i use a 110 speedo from a v-6 car in my iroc?and can I just swap the faces on the speedo and leave everything else?you know the two little screws.thanks

I would say the Speedo should work, the tach will NOT
As far as the faces, I have no clue.
The reason the tach will not is because the tach uses pulses from the distributor in order to determine RPM. Because a V6 has 3 pulses per every revolution, and a V8 has 4 pulses per revolution it would be off. Most aftermarket tachs will have a switch to accomidate for this.
